Easy Appetizer: Fondue Crab Dip

Need to bring a dish to a Holiday party, or Christmas Celebration this week? I have a super easy to make but totally delicious recipe to share with you. My family has been making this at celebrations and parties for years and it is always a winner.

Fondue Crab Dip

serves 8-10 people as an appetizer

2 tablespoons of butter

2 tablespoons of flour (can use cornstarch as well)

1 can chicken broth

1/4 cup of sherry

8oz each of Velveeta(or another processed American cheese) and cream cheese

6 oz can of fancy crab meat

Sriracha Chili sauce or another hot sauce

Melt butter over medium heat,- you can use a sauce pan, a fondue pot or even a crock pot. Mix in flour, then add chicken broth and sherry. Cook and mix with a whisk until it’s thickened, then add in the cheese and stir until it is all melted. Reduce to low and add crab meat, and a few drops of Sriracha. Serve with a warm french baguette.
